Deep blue at its heart

The deep blue border is the first thing you notice. It gives the Quilotoa a sense of balance, while within the pattern warm blocks of red, rust, sand and olive green alternate with large diamonds, stepped shapes and small squares. Altogether it feels lively and calm at the same time. Draped over a sofa, chair or bed, this blanket brings colour into the room straight away without ever feeling too busy.

With the weavers themselves

For the Quilotoa, we consciously choose not to work with a wholesaler or factory. With this throw, framed by a deep blue border and warm blocks of colour, we want to know who makes it. That is why we know the makers personally and buy directly from them. In this way, the connection stays clear and we can pay a fair price, so they can earn a good living and continue their work in peace.

Generous and reversible

The Quilotoa is large enough to drape loosely over your sofa, use as a bedspread or reach for on a cool evening. If you want a calmer feel in your interior, simply turn it over to the other side for a softer look. Thanks to its size, this blanket falls beautifully and generously, and it pairs easily with light furniture, wood and plain, understated fabrics.

Care

• Often, airing is enough: alpaca wool is largely self-cleaning.
• Can be washed on a wool or hand-wash programme, 30 degrees or colder, with as few spin cycles as possible.
• Do not tumble dry: press out the water and leave to dry flat or hanging.
