Along the bottom, woven bands with soft diamond shapes and a classic linear pattern create rhythm without feeling busy. At the top, the poncho stays calm, with a fastening at the neck that brings the design together beautifully. That makes it striking and easy to wear at the same time.

Directly from the makers

For this poncho, we consciously choose not to work with a wholesaler or factory. It is all too easy to lose touch with the people who do the real work, and that is exactly what matters to us. We buy directly from artisans in the Andes who weave by hand using techniques that have been passed down for generations. We know the makers personally and pay a fair price, so they can earn a stable income from their craft.

Lovely outdoors and indoors

You can easily wear the Rosanna over a jumper, roll neck or simple top when you want extra warmth and colour. This poncho moves fluidly with you and leaves your arms free beneath the weave. Beautiful over a calm base in neutral tones, but just as strong when red is allowed to take centre stage in your outfit.

Care

• Airing it is often enough: alpaca wool is largely self-cleaning.
• It can be washed on a wool or hand wash programme, at 30 degrees or colder, with the lowest possible spin speed.
• Do not tumble dry: press out the water and leave it to dry flat or hanging.
